Market Square On
Trading Block Is
Busy and Popular
Although the form market build-
ings on the trading block have not
yet been completed, those who have
farm commodities for sale have
improvised shelters for their pro-
ducts near the curb and are making
soles doily.
Watermelons, pears, tomatoes,
green beans, okra, and potatoes
are among the commodities observ-
ed on display. Farmers arrive early
each morning and remain through-
out the day awaiting customers for
home-grown fruits and vegetables.
At 2:45 o’clock Sunday morning
one man was at his station either
hoping for night sales or waiting
for daylight to bring him buyers.
The farm market shed early this
week was undergoing a coat of
white point and tables hod arrived
on which commodities will be dis-
played when the project is com-
pleted. Much interest has been
taken in building the market, both
by farmers of the county and by
Stephenville citizens and officials.
