POWER
JHookl to & Hattefi /omoviour
When a people of freedom, imagination and
energy return to a peaceful world, there is
bound to be progress! In this progress of peace,
electric power is to play an important part, just
as it has played a most vital part in our war
effort.
Even as war goes on, there are planners, too,
for the days of peace. As you plan toward your
own postwar living, take into consideration the
great help that low-cost electricity will be to
you as an individual. The planners on a bigger
scale know that it will be a key item in the
progress that is to be.
The day hastens when materialization of
plans and ideas will be available. Electricity will
be available and ready to do a magnificent job
in making peace-time America a country of
prosperity and happiness. Be ready to share in it.

letter from his son, Pvt. Herbert
E. Allen, a paratrooper located at
Fort Benning, Ga., recently that
he arrived safely back in camp
but four days late, due to unfor-
tunate circumstances. Pvt. Allen
had been reported missing and
his parents had become rather
anxious about his safety. He had
to “hitch-hike” via the air route,
from one plane to another, to get
back, and while on his way back
to Fort Benning he passed di-
rectly over Harper and the Bap-
tist Church of which his father
is pastor. While in Medford,
Oregon Pvt. Allen was married
on May 23 to a girl of that city.
