day. After a good luncheon and the
reading of the minutes, business was
called. The weekly prize was given
by Hugh Wallace and was awarded to

quitt died suddenly at hi* home hero
at 10 o‘cloak tonight. Hi* death was
due to an attack of heart trouble. He
was a cousin of Kx Governor Cidquitt
of Dallas and was flotorial represen-
tative for Johnson and Bosque coon-
tie* in the Tesa* legislature for sev-
eral yean. He was one of the lead
ing citizen* of this place and readily
gave of hi* time and means to mni:o
hi* home town and coonty better placet

medical practice and was very popular
throughout thi* section of tho state.
He was a Mason, aa Odd Fellow, a
Woodmen of the World, aad belonged
to several other organisations.
