American Legion posts of Hi-
dalgo county will ‘ again bring
Christmas cheer to world war vet-
evfens at Legion hospital. Com-
mander Bolton Hyde of the Mc-
Allen post announced today.
The hospital will send down a
truck next week to receive a car-
load of citrus fruit, according to
Louis Halphen, of Post No. 379 at
Legion, 'Texas.
Last year, Hidalgo county posts
joined together and sent a car-
load by railroad to the hospital.
The shipment was dead-headed by
the efforts of Vice-president Garner
and others.
When Hyde saw the director of
the hospital at Dallas last year, the
Legion man said they counted a lot
on the shipment of fruit from the
Valley.
The Legion is now making plans
for gathering the fruit..
