ervisors of America. The super
visors are busy making appoint-
ments and sending out supplier

Not only will the government
find out many things about the
people, but a vast lot of informa-
tion concerning agriculture, and

be compiled together with data
concerning farm hinds, building-.,
mining, and manufacturing in-
dustries, etc.
The census enumerator wilt be
subject to penalty for divulging
the result of their work by giving
the population of precincts, cities
nr counties, or for gving out any
other information. This will be
reported direct from Washngto'i
as fast sis the enumerator’s re-
port* are compiled and the totals
made up.
Ballinger is in the Seventeenth
District, and the department fore-
cast that this district will show
the largest increase of any dis-
trict in the United States, due to
the rapid development of the oil
industry in this district. The
population of the district made
up of nineteen counties, was J!rJ,

tal about a half million in the com
ing count.

out of charges that Secretary
Daniels ol the navy department,
had shown favoritism in awarding
distinguished service medals and
disregarded recommendations of
high naval officers is under way

The immediate cause ot the in-
vestigation came about when Ad-
miral Simms refused to accept
a D S M because he alleged that
he was not deserving of the a-

issued bv Secretary’ Lansing to-
day.
All outstanding unused licenses
permitting the shipment of arms
and munitions to Mexico, and

tember 20th have been ordered
revoked No reason is assigned
