the Sewing Circle on the after-
noon of Wednesday, October 13,
being ably assisted in all hostess
duties by her daughter, Mrs.

festive air to the dining room
where a most tempting lunch
consisting of a salad course,
various kinds of delicious cake
and coffee was daintily served.

paper last Saturday morning.

ter being in commercial School
only 3 months, hp was placed on
trial, with the Underwood Type-
writer people in Dallas. Of course
he proved a fixture and in the
mean time has “suffered” two
promotions.

Mrs. Theresa Juenger.
The funeral of this estimable
lady occurred Satnrday morning
at 9 o’clock from the home of
her only sister, Mrs. F. Stach Sr.
Death occured in Abilene where
deceased had made her home
sinee leaving Shiner, 11 years
ago. She was born Feb, 1867 in
Austria, coming to America
when 16 years of age.
The body arrived
afternoon, accompanied by
son, Louis Juenger. The remains
rested in the Stach home until
Saturday morning at 9 o’clock
when they were conveyed to
Catholic Church where Rev. L.
P. Netardus conducted the
burial rites. Interment was made
in Catholic Cemetery, where the
new made mound was a mass of
beautiful, fragrant flowers,
Mrs. JueDger is survived by
four sons: R. R,, A. E., and W.
C. of Houston and Louis of Merk-
el.Also three grand children. Be-
sides the one sister in Shiner,
there are left to mourn her loss
3 brothers: Steve and Joe F.
Schindler of Marlin, and Emil
of Meridian, Mississippi, Her
parents, husband, 4ehildrenaDd
two brothers preceded her to
the grave. To those who mourn
■ loss, the Gazette extends
heartfelt sympathy,
