Perhaps one of the most fun
things Kathy has done in pre-
paration Is to completely reno-
vate an old w ardrobe tnmk. She
painted the outside with a lusty
black enamel and completely
lined the insides, drawers and
all, with contact paper. Now she
g new trunk
that she hirdly recognizes as the
same one. It would easily serve
as a conversational piece of furn-
iture.
How Kathy got this job Is al-
most as exciting as her going.
It's a combination comedy and
suspense thriller. The idea of
travel has always fascinated her,
but somehow she'd just never
gotten around to giving It sennu*
thought. Earlier this year on a
whim she wrote lo Kelley Air
Force Base in San Antonio for
information about overseas
teaching possibilities, •
They sent her primary appli-
cation* and pamphlets wmch ane
hastily filled In and returned.
Then the Department of Defense
stepped in and interviewed her
at the University of Houston. _
