WAGONS WANTED
Submitted by George I. Fetzer Classified Advertisement, Tennessee Journal, Athens, Tennessee, dated Jan. 6, 1834 Sixteen 1st rate wagons with bodies of the largest kind, each to be drawn by a team of first rate six horse teams complete in gear and harness, will find employ- ment during the removal of the present Emigration of Cherokees from their homes to their respective points of embarcation upon the rivers; by the owners of such en- rolling their names immediately at the agents. The said wagons to be called upon at anytime between the 1st and 20th day of Feb. next to go to any part of this or adjacent states occupied by the Cherokees--to receive such loads not to exceed 3500 pounds per wagon, as shall be assigned to them by their Wagon Masters; and to pro- ceed with the same to such landing places as they shall be directed by the said Wagon Masters. All wagoners or conductors of teams will in all things relating to the araingement of their respective loads--the infirm or children to be carried-- and the routes to be adopted, obey the directions of the respective Wagon Masters set over them, all desputes about overloading shall be settled by weighing.
