the Texas Technological College
campus February 22 Arbor Day
when horseback overseers will
supervise the planting of 5.000
tree* and shrubs beginning the
greatest beautification program
probably ever attempted in West
Texas
The plan to make the Tech
campus and Lubbock an oasis ot
the Plains country has been brew
ing for many year* but lack of
funds has prolonged the program,
said O. B Howell, professor of the
plant Industry department and
director of beautification at Tech
Trees and shrubs are to be selec-
ted from the college nursery
where careful planting has pro-
duced over one million plants. 50.-
000 of which are one to four years
old and are ready for transplant-
ing
Five hundred and titty persons
including students and faculty
will take part In the Arbor Day
fiesta for which a half holiday
will be given Saga of the Old '
West rides again as coffee and |
doughnuts will be served to work

1 can cream of tomato soup
3 cups cooked ham chopped

3 sprigs parsley, minced
1 tablespoon prepared
mustard
'« teaspoon pepper
2 eggs, beaten slightly

Add canned cream of tomato soup
and chopped rooked ham Stir In
