standing lineman Kelley is the

perform for Carthage Blair, a win
ner of the sportsmanship award
on three occasions during his
playing career at Carthage, was
lineman and a basketball star at
Carthage High Brewster was one
of the finest halfbacks ever to lug
the leather on the local gridiron.

sportsmanship.
ROOUEMORE MOST VALUABLE
Ixmis Robinson presented the
Koonre Award, given to the Most
Valuable Bulldog player. Mike
Roquemore, Sophomore Fullback
and Linebacker was a wise selec-
tion for this award, and fills the
bill for all of the qualities that
go to make the most valuable play-
er, as only Dr. Koonre himself can
point out. Mike was the Bulldog
workhorse on offense, was a tower
of strength in the Carthage secon-
dary, is an honor student and a
top quality gentleman in every
sense of the word. Due to ill
health. Dr. Koonre was unable to
be present to make the award, but
everyone in attendance felt the in-
fluence of one of the Bulldog's
most ardent and faithful boosters
thru the years.
