On this 10th day of October, 1949,
the Commissioner* Court ot La Sail.
County, Texas, convened in regular
session at the regular meeting place
thereof, at the Courthouse in Cotulla,
La Salle County, Texas, with the fol-
lowing members thereof being pres-
ent, namely,

A. E. SCHLETZE, Commissioner,
Precinct No- 2
J. R. BELL, Commissioner Prec-

the following proceedings, among
others, were had, to-wit:
WHEREAS, there came on to be
heard and considered a petition sign-
ed by more than Two Hundred (200)
of the qualified resident property tax-
paying voters of La Salle County,
Texas, who own taxable property
within said county, and who have
duly rendered the same for taxation,
which number constitutes more than
ten (10) per cent of the qualified pro-
perty taxpaying voters of La Salle
County, Texas, petitioning that an

provide a sinking fund sufficient for
the redemption thereof at maturity.”

der the provisions of the Constitution
and laws of the State of Texas, and
all persons who are legally qualified
voters of this state and this county,
and who reside in said county and
who own taxable property within said

RURAL YOUTH AT FAIR—The parking lot at the State Fair of
Texas was crowded with school buses from all -arts of Texas bx early
morning last Saturday. The buses brought part ot the vast contingent
of farm boys and girls who attended the Fair in the biggest gathering
of its kind in the nation’s history. There were 75,000 4H Club mem-
bers. Future Farmers and Future Homemakers among the Fair’s
biggest crowd of all time—a total of 276,984 visitors. The rural youth
came from 200 counties of the 254 counties of the state. The Fair’s last
big day is Sunoay.

That a copy of this order, signed
! by the County Judge and attested by
I the County Clerk, shall serve as prop-
er notice of said election.
That NOTICE of said election shall
be given by publishing said notice in
a newspaper published within said La
Salle County, Texas, once each week
for three successive weeks prior to
the date of said election, and in ad-
dition thereto, said notice shall be
posted at four (4) public places
within La Salle County, Texas, one
of which shall be at the Courthouse
door of said County, for three weeks
prior to date of said election.

That if the proposition to issue
said bonds and levy said tax does not
receive a majority of the votes cast
at said election, then this order shall
become wholly null and void, but if
said proposition shall receive such
necessary favorable votes, this order
shall then remain in full force and
effect while said bonds, or any of
them, are outstanding.

FULL, it was moved by Commissioner
Schletze and seconded by Commiss-
ioner Boeker, that same do pass-
