Saturday night the Mills
County Youth Rally was held
at Star in the Baptist Church.
There was a good group
present, approximately sixty.

ville, and Goldthwaite.
The art students of Jackie
Reese will be displaying their
works in the lobby of the
Mills County State Bank on
Monday, December 5. Oil
paintings by the local artists
will be on display throughout
the week.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Smith
were blessed with the pres-
ence of all five of their
children and families for the
Thanksgiving holiday. Sev-
enteen of their eighteen
grandchildren were preaent.
The eldest grandson, Chuck
Smith, was usable to be
there. Those present were

Kirkpatrick went to Brown-
wood recently to visit with
Miss Carrie Kirkpatrick and
Mrs. Marie Hancock. Their
aunt Marie is elated to be at
home, and is slowly im-
proving in health. Mr. and
Mrs. Kirkpatrick have heard
from their son Paul, who is
now stationed in Korea.
Mrs. Jewell Baskin spent
the weekend in Hamilton
with her sister Mrs. Geo.
Golightly and Mr. Golightly.
Mrs. Lorene Holland is
able to be home after a few
days in the hospital in
Goldthwaite.
Recent visitors with Mrs.
Margaret Toliver were her
granddaughter, Miss Anita
Eubank and a friend from
San Antonio. Mrs. Ernest
Obenhaus was a Sunday
guest of Mrs. Toliver.
Mr. and Mrs. Grady Han-
cock went to Van Horn last
Tuesday to see their grand-
daughter Donna play volley
ball, they visited Tuesday
night in Kermit with Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Parker and Donna.
Mr. Bob Parker was a
guest Sunday of the Han-
cocks. He also visited Mr.
and Mrs. Pat Parker in
Goldthwaite.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Whit-
lock and sons. Darrell and
Brad, have moved into the
Lowe house, owned by Mr.
and Mrs. Grady Hancock.
Several persons from here
attended the Thanksgiving
supper at the Duren Church
house Saturday night. They
had a bountiful supper, and
an etgoyable time visiting
with the friendly folks of that
