WHAT IS A SADIST?
According to BUZZY GUNN, his definition of a sadist is
someone who sends get well cards to hypochondriacs, or
refuses to whb> masochists.

As the guys sat around discussing their meaning of a perfect
wife, KIRK came up with the winner. I'll only print one. The
others were pretty good, too. Anyway, KIRK says, "A perfect

One of the participants, who ate too much crawfish and
consumed too much beverage, came dragging in about 1230

SONIC PUTTING IN PARK
The Sonic drive-in in Bridge City is building a nice volleyball
and park, and already, palm trees have been imported and
planted on the site. But, many other big things are coming.
Watch for it.
The Lamar University-Orange teaching bonus committee
has selected seven full-time faculty members to receive
teaching bonuses for 1995.
Dr. Carol Dupree, associate professor of management;
Elias Jureidini, math Instructor; Dr. Mary Pat Linn,
assistant professor of biology; Dr. Robert Peebles,
professor of history; Andrew Preslar, English instructor; Dr.
Barbara Rives, assistant professor of math; and Alan
Sauter, math instructor, will each receive a $2,000 bonus
granted in a special appropriation from the Legislature.
The selection committee is composed of faculty
members who received the bonus last year. Faculty
members submit applications for consideration by the
committee. The applicants must demonstrate mastery of
their discipline and exceptional ability to imparl that
knowledge to their students.

Schedules Book Fair
St Mary's School will be holding a book fair in the school
library during the coming week.
