From Our W.D. Ministers
By Pastor Ronny D. Thomason
First Assembly of God Church
Philippians 2:9-11, "Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted him
and given him a name which is
above every name: that at the
name of Jesus every knee should
bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under
the earth; and that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ
is Lord, to the glory of God The
Father. "
Colossians 1:18 "And he is the
head of the body, the church;
who is the beginning, the first-
born from the dead; that in all
things he might have the pre-
eminence. "
Jesus Christ is the head of the
church. He is the Supreme Au-
thority of the Universe also.
This is the most powerful com-
bination in existance. It is
very difficult for us to even im-
agine the great power that God
the Father has given to His Son.
Scriptures like the one above
tell us that we are a part of the
body of Christ. With Jesus as
our leader and Lord there is
nothing impossible to the church.
If you have made Jesus Christ
Lord of your life, your relation-
ship to Him entitles you to all
that is His and the Father's.
Romans 8:17 says that we are
heirs of God and joint-heirs with
Christ. This means that as a
child of God you have power
and priveledges that you never
dreamed existed.
When we consider all that
God has given to us through His
Son Jesus, we discover that it
goes far beyond salvation and
freedom from sin. Our heirs
with Christ we have power to
control our own circumstances.
As a Christian you do not have
to live a defeated life. The
power of God has been made
available to you for victorious
living.

I am convinced that our God
loves and cares for His children.
He has proven His love to us th-
rough Jesus. As a loving Father
He has given His church all it
needs to live joyfully. All we
have to do is believe that He
will do what He said in His Word.
We must believe that He loves
us and will use all His power
and authority to provide for His
children.
Every good earthly father
shares his good fortune with his
children. What king does not
share his wealth and power with
his own children? Is it then too
much for God's children to ex-
pect good thaings from their
Father? The Scripture tells me
that my Heavenly Father has
provided power, wealth, health,
success, and joy to all of His
children through Jesus Christ.
It is time that God's children
began expecting and receiving
the manifuld blessings of God.
For many years Christianity has
been portrayed as weak, and
poverty stricken. It is time
that we grasped hold of all that
our Father has provided through
His Son and present to the world
a true picture of Him.
