"Sims music awapd kids", is the
acronym for the point system the
students earn in music throughout
the year! Ldst year the winners
made videos. This year the top
classes were able*to have an ice
cream parlor named "Beeboppers."
This name is for Mrs. Stuebmg and
her creative TAAS methods. Mrs.
Waris and Mrs. Rose’s classes were
the top winners and created the
restaurant and menu. A "runaway"
was vanilla ice cream with Oreos.
A "jet plane" was a rootbeer float.
"Stuebing stew" was' a little bit of
everything. The "chapel of love"
was popular, chocolate Kisses,
chocolate ice cream and chocolate
syrup.
The parlor had managers, host-
esses, bus boys, two shifts of cooks
and waitresses. Every 30 minutes
the entire group entertained with
"Back to the fifties’ and "Sixties
with a twist". These mini-musicals
provided dancing, singing and col-
orful choreography. The students
had costumes depicting the fifties
and sixties also! Chris Richard said
"Thank you so much," and gave ev-
eryone a hug. Misty Simon smiled
and said,” I’ve had so much fun
today!" The students were a hit with
each other, the school and teach-
ers. Special guests were Mr.
Chenella, and School Board mem-
bers, John Smith, James Bean and
Gus Garza. Of course, Mrs. Stueb-
ing and Mrs. Blalack were hon-
ored! ,
