Total returns in the general election, Nov. 3,
1952, are given below for all state-wide races, and
for those congressional races in which there was
opposition to the Democratic nominees. These are
official returns as canvassed by the Legislature
in the contests for Governor and Lieutenant Gov-
ernor, and as canvassed by the State Canvassing
Board in the other contests.
In the general election of 1952, all candidates
but one in state races ran on Democratic and Re-
publican tickets. The exception was the candidate
or Commissioner of Agriculture. (See article im-
mediately preceding these election statistical tables
for explanation of the double nominations.)
