It has been strongly rumored that
the eminent flier will be present at
this blowout, and will have his trusty

There are also persistent rumors

Appropriate exercises will be

Mineral oil is effective for constipation in many. This can be taken in the
form of a mayonnaise or a French dressing, made from the regular recipes.

Certain foods are more laxative than others—such as prunes and figs.
You will always be constipated if you continue to take physics, and you
must remember, when you stop taking them, it will be three or four days be-
fore you begin to have relief. During this time, small enemas could be tak-

time may distend the lower bowel.

ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS
CONSTIPATION
Constipation is due to many factors: unbalanced diet, and one containing
too little roughage, lack of exercises, constant taking of physics, irritated
condition of the mucous membrane from some cause or another, lack of suf-

fident water, a regular time of going to the toilet, too much food, too little
food, are among the causes. The majority of those who suffer from consti-
pation do so because of the lack of sufficient green vegetables and fruits and
the whole grains, which contain roughage as well as vitamins and mineral
salts. But, occasionally, the mucous membrane is so irritated that rough food
irritates it still more, and in these cases a very smooth diet is recommended.
It not infrequently happens that some intestines are industrious enough
to digest even the ordinary roughage, and for those, a sea weed known as
agar-agar, or the psyllium seeds (don’t try to pronounce the p), or straight
bran, are advised. I’ve had more reports of the efficacy of the psyllium seeds
than anything else.
The psyllium seeds are seeds which come from the Psyllium
in Central Europe; therefore it is imported. The common name

When the psyllium seeds are moistened, they give off a
amount of mucilaginous material, which serves to lubricate the

WONDERING WHY
We heard the patient lawyer say, “Why did you do it, H. Judd
Gray? I pause for a reply;” H. Judd upraised his humbled head, and
in a ^puzzled voice he said, “I often wonder why.” Long days spent
in his prison cell gave him a chance to ponder well the course he had
pursued; long nights of solitude and gloom in his steel-barred, forbid-
ding room, enabled him to brood. The fever that so long had burn-
ed died out and sanity returned as leaden hours went by. he wonder-

Wonder, it may be, through stretches of eternity that he must travel
in. And we, perhaps, will sympathize with this poor weakling, cheap
tnwiae, who threw his life away; for all of us have wondered why we
knocked some ordinance awry, upon a bygone day. One day we play
an evil trick; the next day finds us sad and sick, we heave a troubled
gigh; it seems so strange we should depart from maxima we have
known by heart, since we were too feet high. It seems so strange that
we should leave the path of virtue to deceive, to speak the sinful lie-
