Potato Vine Also
Yields Tomatoes
f Ionian, May 12? —Toma-
lues potatoes and greens are
growing on one plant on. a
farm near Pleasanton. Only a
slab of bacon is needed to make
out a pretty good meal from lone
plant.
Jimmy Eklund, local plumber,
found this unique plarjt on the
farm of Sarfin Bazan.
Both tomatoes and potatoes
are planted in the Bazan gar-
den. They are about 10 feet a-
part, yet two rows of potatoes
have tomatoes growing.,on the
top and potatoes on the roots.
Eklund said he looked but
couldn’t find any potatoes
growing on the tomato plants.
