Y H T Has Program At Model Market
The regular meeting of the
Young Homemakers was held
on June 5 at Cotulla Model
Market. To begin the program
Bill Cotulla gave a corn test
to those present. After tast-
ing and selecting their pre-
ference, Mr. Cotulla returned
the labels on the corn. The re
suits were very interesting.
The group then proceeded
into the meat market area of
the store. Bill Cotulla, along
with butcher Dan Jimenez
and assisted by Mauro Perez,
gave a demonstration on the
various cuts of meat. A hind
quarter and fore quarter of
beel was then completely pre-
pared and cut to enable the
women to know exactly where
every meat cut is located on
the beef. Not only did the
women learn all the various
cuts of meat, but the reasons
for the different prices in
meat. Mr. oCtulla also added
many helpful tips and hints
on the preparting and cooking
of various cuts of meat during
the demonstration.
