PENALTY TO BE ADDED
TO LATE UTILITY BILLS
Penalties amounting to 10% of
the utility bill are now added to
consumer's gas and water bills
when the account is unpaid after
the tenth day of the month.
The policy of charging a pen-
alty for late payment is one of
long standing. Members of the
council have recently stood firm
in council-employee relations of
carrying out these policies.
It has come to the attention
of the council that some accou-
nts due the City of White Deer
for utilities are delinquent every
month.
On the 10th day of the month,
following 2 months delinquent
bills, services are discontinued
after due notice is given for
non-payment.
When services are discontinued,
a charge of $2. 50 per utility is
made to restore gas and water
services.
