The Santa Anna Library will be hosting a Snoopy Dance Contest on
Saturday, December 5 during the Christmas Under the Mountain festivi-
ties. Everyone from 3 years of age to adults are invited to participate.
Prizes will be given in each age group. Registration will be held from 10
to 11 a.m. with the contest beginning at 11 a.m. Participants will dance to
the Charlie Brown Christmas dance song. Even if you can't dance like
Snoopy, come do your version of the Snoopy Dance.
The annual Christmas Book Sale will be held all day. Good quality used
books will be available for purchase for those who like to read or give
books for presents. There will be adult books and a number of children's
books. Also the library has found that they have duplicates
of some books by local authors including Gladys Barnes, Mrs. Hunter and
others. There will be some of these also available.
The Library will also be holding a drawing for a Laptop Briefcase. All you
have to do is walk in the library. Come in put your name and telephone
number on a piece of paper and in the box. The winner will be drawn
between 3 and 4 p.m. that Saturday.
Remember to visit the Library when attending Christmas Under the
Mountain and check out our book sale, do the Snoopy dance and sign up
for a chance to win a Laptop Briefcase.
The Santa Anna ISD will hold a Public Hearing in regards to the FIRST
(Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) Report. This report is for
the 2013-2014 school financial year that ended on August 31, 2014. The
purpose of the hearing is to inform the public of the district’s financial
ratings and to explain the district’s performance under each of the
indicators. The minimum passing score is 16. The Santa Anna ISD
FIRST rating for the 2014-2015 year was PASSING with a 30.

records of the event at Tunisia, the 9th Infantry landed first there. On May 6th 1943 it was a slippery, muddy
and rainyday. German machine gun crews began taking off for Bizerte as the 9th Infantry Divison advanced.
The enemy also appeared to be evacuating the city, at mid-day on May 7th 1943 and by May 9th the
enemy now out of Tunis

Gammon (bom 24 Mar 1899 Batesville, Ark.) on 3 March 1928 Navvaro Co., Tx. age 31, with 3 children of
her own, Ona L., Melvin, and Willis Gammon. Three of his children: Pies Dewey (16) bom 1914 Okla., Arthur
Coy Dewey (9) (b 1921), Moriane Dewey (8) (b 1922). (Mary York divorced James Sanwin Gammon sometime
before 1928).
In 1940 Navarro Co., Tx. Arthur S. 41 & Mary 31, Children: Plase Dewey 26, Adie Dewey (6) (b 1934). at this
time his mother living with the family, Iris Dewey age 69 bom Illinois. Also, in 1940 Census Bexar Co., Tx.
Arthur Coy Dewey was with a group of soldiers.
It appears at some point Arthur C. was living with Jay and Norma McCoy at Santa Anna, Tx. for awhile. He
will be counted as one of Santa Anna's KIA Veterans.

Sgt Arthur Coy Dewey, formerly lived in Santa Anna, a nephew of Mr. and Mr. J. McCoy, has been numbered
among the missing in North Africa. Sgt. Dewey was among the first American soldiers to land in the North
African area last November, according to information from the War Department, was Killed in action May 5th
1943.
