ta Falls, the Donald Monsqns
and the E. R. Monspns.
E. R. Monson, Mrs. Jenkins
and Mrs. Lundgren are brother
and sisters.
Ericksdahl farmers are busy
with wheat harvest which wat
started last week. Much of the
wheat is being handled <jt the
grain elevator at Ericksdahl

from L. H. Simpson, who oper-

Don Connally is manager of the

The names of two men who
served during World War I
have Been added since Me-
morial Day 1969 to Bethel
Lutheran’s list of service men
who lie burtea in Bethel’s
churchyard cemetery. ' ~
They include Dr. Hugo B.
Haterius, who served camp
pastor in Ft. Worth, and Gust
Nelson.
The two, were among* the 21
names read at the Memorial
Day service conducted Sun-
day, May 31, at the cemetery
by the Rev. Stan Jurgenson,
who paid tribute to the vet-
erans, living and dead, and to
those men
country.

Husband in Fire
An explosion and fire at Mc-
Donald Well Service Co. in the
southern part of Jones County
on Feb. 20, 1939, has resulted
in filing o’, a suit for $150,000
damages by the widow of a..............., .

half of herself and three minor
children, has named Lone Star
Gas Co. as defendant, alleging
negligence on their part was
responsible for the early morn-
ing fire which destroyed the
building located on U. S. 277
just north of Abilene.
Mrs. Allred claims her hus-
band,. Louis Allred Jr, sus-
tained fatal injuries in the fire
while working in the building.

recently for a visit with Mr.
and Mrs. Jerry Jones and their
new daughter, Shelle Paige,
bom May 25.
Mrs. Ray Jones and the Fis-
chers are the grandparents of
Shelle Paige.
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bowers
of Itasca are. the parents of a
son, Jon Todd, bor^ May 31
at an Itasca hospital.
The Bowers have another
son, Michael Scott, who was
two in April
Mrs. Bowers is the" former
Carolyn Thompson.
Grandparents are Cecil
Bowers of Haskell and Mr.
and Mrs. Claude Thompson.
Great grandparents include
Mrs. Irene Stewart of Haskell
and Martin V. Reed.
Mrs. Thompson returned
Monday from Itasca where
she had been with the Bowers
since before Jon Todd’s birth.
Thofripson went for her Sun-
day when he visited with the

David Olson, Debbie, John and
Brietta, of Hobbs, N. M. and

daughter, Mrs. David Stults

The David Olsons spent a
part of his two week vaca-
tion from Schlumberger in Las
Vegas. Nev., while their chil-
dren remained here with their
grandparents.
The group also visited with
their brother and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Sheridan Olson. My-
ra, Emily and Adam, and with
their grandmother, Mrs.
Charles Anderson.
Mrs Stults is on vacation
from teaching in the Amarillo
public school system.
Mr and Mrs. Edward Silba
of Ecuador, South America,
recently married, have been
spending a part'oHheir honey-
moon here with his parents
Mr, and Mrs. Tim Silba, and
family, after a trip into Mex-
ico.
Young Silba has been in Ec-
uador serving in < the vet-
erinary field since receiving
tiis degree from Abilene Chris-
tian College a year ago.

of Roseville, Minn., will return
home Thursday of this week
after a visit here1 with her

Richards, and other relatives.
