The Evening Pilot Club of Baytown hosted
Salute to Youth last month at First Baptist
Church in Baytown. Six Baytown area high
school students who have achieved academic
good standing, practiced good citizenship,
overcame extreme hardships and excelled in
spite of life's obstacles were recognized. Each
student received a monetary award and a cer-

Scholarship Recipients at a recent luncheon. Kiwanis
Scholarship winners were front, from left, Shelby Olive

Arnie Magallon (REL); back, from left, Christopher Frazier
(Barbers Hill), Janelle Jagnanan (RSS), Elida Ramirez
(RSS), Amy Brewer (GCM), Ashley Miller (GCM), Ashley
Almanza (GCM), Matthew Bradford (REL). Each student
was awarded a $1000 scholarship and received a framed
certificate.
