The Rattler Club, founded in 1927, was originally the honor society of St.
Mary's University. After ten years this function was assumed by other organizations.
The present Rattler Club was organized in 1947 as a campus social club. The ob-
jectives of the club are expressed by its motto, Fraternity and Loyalty. Membership
