Panache, the literary magazine of St. Mary's University
is produced by those students interested in literature and
creative writing. Published under the aegis of the English
Department, Panache is published twice each year and
contains the outstanding creative endeavors of the best
student writers on the Woodlawn campus. Its unusual
name roughly corresponds to the English phrase "plume
atop a helmet," or a cavalier's headgear. Figuratively, the
name designates the standard of quality aspired to by the
editors.
