The Hirschi field baseball nine
played the Texhoma nine Sunday at
a severe beat-
of thau famous
nine, the score running 9 to 2, in
favor of the Texhoma.
The Texhxoma team will meet
them on their home ground, one
mile north and one mile east of
Barwise school on the Barclay-
Meadow lease Sunday, May 29.
Sunday, June 5 a game has been
matched with the Enterprise aggre-
gation in Ferd S. Keller’s pasture,
one mile south of Enterprise school,
six miles northeast of Electra.

The Kum-Join-Us Sunday School
Glass of the First Christian Church
enjoyed a picnic at the Electra
Country Club Friday evening. The
evening was spent in playing cro-
quet and games on the lawn with
a picnic supper being served at
7:30.
The guests included Misses Bon-
nie Jennings. Dixie Tuttle, Kather-
ine Ban*, Willomae Waters, Jauni-

Chesher-MitcEell Wedding
Miss Clemma Chesher became the
bride of William Mitchell Saturday
evening about nine o’clock at the
.home of Rev. and Mrs- Thomas E.
Milholland. The bride formerly at-
tended the local high school and is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.
H. Chesher of the Red River lease.
The groom is also well known in
Electra, having resided on the Red
River lease for’ some time and is
employed in the oil fields. They
were unattended and will make their
home in Electra.

Raby Curry Weds
Miss Ruby Curry, daughter of
Mrs. A. R. Auldridge, is the first
to break the ranks of the Senior
Class, when her marriage to Dewey
Lunsford, of Pampa, which ’ took
place January 22, was announced
this week. Miss Curry is a popular
member of the sefHor class of 1927,
and will receive her diploma Tues-
day evening, and leave Wednesday
with Mr. Lunsford for a visit with
his relatives in Chickasha, Oklaho-
ma, after which they will make
their home in Pampa, where the
groom is established in business.
Mr. Lunsford is well known in
Electra. He is a nephew of Mr.'
and Mrs. R. L. Lowe' and has vis-
ited here on numerous occasions.

Junior Class Farewell Picnic
The members of the Junior Class
of the High School enjoyed their
final get-to-gether meeting of the
season when they motored to the
home Miss Violet Guthrie on
Beaver Creek, Friday evening. Upon
reaching the lovely country home,

on the banks of the creek and
marshmallows and weiners roasted
and served.

The Board of Trustees with hie

night at seven o’clock at the Thomp-

Class^ of which Miss Stella Senor

Miss Ratcliffe ' Honored
Miss Jewel Ratcliffe was
a surprise handkerchief shower at
the home of her brother, south of
the city Wednesday night, when
members of the Rebekah lodg^e mo-
tored to the home,' taking gifts and
refreshments. Miss Ratcliffe was
recently injured in a fall. Miss
Beatrice Wilkerson with a ukulele
and Mrs. Suda Awtrey read, en-
