In keeping with the Texas Edu-
cation Week observance in Electra
Public Schools, the mothers of
students of First Ward School will
take the place of teachers for one
half day, Tuesday.
While the mothers axe teaching,
the First Ward teachers will visit
Thompson Ward school to observe
teaching methods ( and-or disci-
pline) in the classroom there.
Principal Curtis Holcomb an-
nounces the names of the follow-
ing mothers who will teach; Mes-
dames Elbert Humphreys and Roy
Robb, first grade; Mesdames T.
E. Eckdkamp and J. E. Temple,
second grade; Mesdames Arden

Mrs. W. E. Lowry was hostess
to members of the Texas Centen-
nial Club at a delightful noon
luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 17,
at her home at Pumpkin Center.
The colors red, white and blue
were featured in the decorations
in the Washington Birthday mo-
tif for the table decorations.
Mrs. Ray Mills, president, pre-
sided and Mrs. W. M. McLaugh-
lin presented the program on
“What Teen Age Youngsters
Want to Know.” Present other
than the above named were Mes-
dames W. G. Black, G. B. Crow,
W. M. Edwards, J. F. Ford, Edgar
