Artillery of 32nd Adcom when
he was in Germany.

Former Electra resident, Andy
Hilley, died Tuesday after being
accidentally shot at a friend’s
home in Humble, Texas.
Services were Wednesday at 1
p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Humble.
Andy, 17, is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. J.W. Hilley.
Survivors include his parents;
two brothers, Tony and
Dwayne; a sister, Gena Kay;
and grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Hartmangruber of Iowa
Park.
In the Bahamas, it has been
believed that water from a
crab’s claw will cure an ear-

Rinse the sponge and rub the
patch again. Do this several
times to make sure all dirt and
detergent are out. Don’t use too
much water. Let the spot dry. If
the color looks the same, but
cleaner, after it’s dry, go ahead

have returned to Dubai, Arabia,
Arabian Gulf. They arrived in
the States June 29 and returned
to Dubai July 27th after
spending several days in Paris,
London and Dublin, Ireland.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Andis,
Dick, Allison and Gregg of Jal,
New Mexico came to Electra to
visit with them. The Vaughns
went to Lake Charles, La. for a
week where they lived and
worked before going overseas
and visited with friends. They
also visited in Baytown withher
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Tullis
(Mary), Mark and Brian and
with Jeanie’s mother, Mrs.
Mary E. Andis of Houston. Mrs.
Andis returned to Electra with
them onJuly 15 and visited with
them here until they departed
for Dubai on July 26. They
visited with his uncle, Mr. Jess
Stone of Harrold and his aunt.
Mrs. Cora King of Vernon and
other friends and relatives.
While visiting in Punkin Center,
therewere several parties for
them. Mr. and Mrs. Homer
Harrell and Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Ford had a party in the Ford
home with many friends and
relatives attending. They were
also guests in the Buddy
Dulaney home for several
barbecues. Mrs. Herman
Mengwasser had a family
gathering on Sunday. Miss
Genevieve Rogan of Wichita
Falls was a special guest and
visited several days with the
Vaughns and Mrs. Andis and
also attended the gatherings.
Mike and Pat Vaughn will
attend High School in Lugano,
Switzerland and Liz and Dan
will attend the American School
in Dubai.
The bride’s parents hosted a
reception in the fellowship hall
of the church.
