sion of the Women's .Missionary So-
ciety of the .Methodist church since
tho launching or the campaign to
double tho membership of the or-
Kanizntion. The meeting was held In tho
Church of dirtst.
About 45 were In attendance and
15 new members were added to the
roll.
The occasion was the regular
monthly business session of the So-
ciety and general reports were heard
from the various departments. Rep
resentatives from the different circles
wero present who gave encouraging
reports of the work from each circle
both financial and In rogard to so-
cial sorvice.

president Mrs. Kennedy occupying

Sixteen members answered roll call
Mrs. H. S. Keifer was leader of the
study lesson for the afternoon.
A mission program on Africa was
1 carried out. Mrs. Keifer being assist
'ed by Mrs. Blackburn and Mrs. O.
'C. Lamon.
' A Christmas bazaar has been plan-
come prepared to sew a much of the
time of meeting will be devoted

preparing articles for the bazaar.

FLANS FOR ENTERING NEW
CHURCH BUILDING NEXT SUX.
The Episcopalian guild held reg-
ular session yesterday afternoon in
the sun parlor of the Sagor Hotel.
The meeting was enthusiastic and
well attended.
It had been planned that- services
be held in the new church building
on Sunday October 1 1' rind In accord.
;ince with these plana committees
were appointed to have everything iu
leadiness.
Mrs. William Little and Mrs. George
Clark will act as the altar committee
to arraige the altar and decorate the
church.
Mis. H. M. Stevenson was asked to
prepare tho church and its surround-
ings for services.
During the business period Mrs. S.
T. 1'eabbdy of the Sager Hotel was
pleated treasurer of the guild by ac-
clamation. A vote of thanks was voted to be
sent the Lions Club and the Higher
Power Gasoline Co. as a mark of ap-
preciation from the guild to mem-
bers of the base ball teams of eacn
tor their kindness in playing a matcn-
eu game or ball on last Thursday un
der the auspictes of the guild.
A vote of thanks was also voted to
be sent th "IViIly American for their
courtesy in giVng so much publicity
to tho game.

guild for their diligence on behalf of
the game.
Much satisfaction was expressed a
to the outcome of the affair as tilt
