Damp places are dangerous and a
menace, to public health. We all
should take an interest in the mat-
ter. It is strange that after repeat-
ed warnings good citizens will allow
their premia** to become dirty and
unsanitary. Some still persist in
running water from the bath, kitch-
en sinks, etc., into the gutters in
front of their houses. This is a rank
violation of the law as well as the
sanitary code, and prosecution will
begin after this warning. It Is as
much of a violation to run clean
water as dirty water. It has got
to stop; a clean-up campaign will
start Monday and every alley, street,
