We are so positive that our remedt
will permanently relieve constipation,
no matter how chronic It may be that
we offer to furnish the medicine at
our expense should it fail to produce
sat'sfactory results
It is worse than useless to attempt
to cure constipation with cathartic
drugs Laxatives or cathartics d"
much barm. They cause a reaction,
irritate and weaken the bowels and
tend to make constipation more
chronic. Bes'des, their use becomes
a habit that is dangerous
Constipation is caused by a weak-
ness of the nerves and muscles of th'
large intestine or desending colon. To
expect permanent relief you must
therefore tone up and strengthen
these organa and restore them »«
healthier activity.
The d’scovery of the active princi-

That the date, March 10. set apart
by the State Health Officer, waa too
early in North Texas la the reason
Denton did not observe that date. Ii
stead Saturday, April 9, will be ob-
served here as tbe day on which to
give the town, tbe streets and alleys
and all the yards therein a thorough
good cleaning.
That was the decision of Mayor
Bates after conferring w th tbe CID
Health Officer and the ladies’ ciubn,
and tbe Mayor Friday issued bls of-
ficial proclamation setting Saturday.
April 9, as offlc'al “Clean-up day’
for the.city. The city’s street force
will be put to the purpose of gath-
ering the trash and rubbish and
hauling it away to the city dumping
ground, where it will be d'sposed ->f
without cost to the citizens directly.
The Mayor's proclamation is as
follows:
“DENTON, Texas. March 11 —To
the Citizens of Denton: In accord
ance with a well established custom
I hereby set aside and des'gnate as
a general "Clean-up” day April !•
