FFA Boosters Saturday August

greenhouse west of the campus.

Smith, 92, died Wednesday,
Aug. 4, 1993, in a Temple,
Texas, hospital.
Funeral services were held
at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, in
Lometa, Texas, cemetery with
the Rey. Theiss Jones officiat-
ing. Burial was in Lometa under
direction of Harper-Taiasek
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 9,
1901, at Pidcoke, Texas, the
daughter of Joseph and Del-
cina Jackson Davis. She gradu-
ated from Ixjmeta High School,
and received a bachelors degree
from Howard Payne University
and a Library Science degree
from Texas Women’s Univer-
sity in Denton.
She married Olen H. Smith
on June 30, 1934. He preceded
her in death on Oct. 21, 1987.
