Dear Editor;
I am searching for descen-
dents of grandfathers (Rea-
son/Rcase Mendenhall) broth-
ers for family genealogy; also,
great uncle John, Thomas, and
Otis Mendenhall and great aunt
Gertrude Mendenhall Peebles.
John married a Cora Dil-
lon and had one or two chil-
dren; Thomas married Maybn
Langley and had two children.
Otis died at age 30 in Las An-
imas, Colorado, and had a one
year old child at time of death.
Gertrude’s husband, John Pee-
bles, was killed in nitroglycer-
ine explosion in Cisco, Texas,
in 1919. They had four chil-
dren. John Peebles was re-
turned for burial at Marietta,
Ohio. All uncles and aunt were
bom to James and Hannah Ross
Mendenhall on the Mendenhall
homeplace, Newport Township,
Washington County, Ohio.
I would appreciate any in-
formation, news clippings, pic-
tures, obits, etc. and will share
anything I have if anyone is in-
terested.
