in our Winnebago motor home)
We were feeling pretty lucky
because we had been camping
with a group of five RV'rs and
we were the only one of the
group who had not'experienced
acquainted with the owner and
with a lady customer. The
owner insisted that I have a
FREE cold drink. He said that
he never charged any one who
was broke down.
We managed to drive the
motor home to the garage and
without attempting to describe
the technical repair problem,
I'll just say that it was well
------1 care of and the charge
was much less than we expected
and certainly less than it would
have been in Fort Worth.
When the repair work was
about finished, a car drove up
and Mary got out. it turned
out that she had made friends
with the lady customer, a Mrs.
White, who had gone out of her
way to drive her to the garage.
To make a LONG STORY
SHORT, I just wish to say that
we made contact with some real
fine people in Electra:
1. The owner of the Chicken
Kitchen restaurant.
2. The owner and employee of
the Conoco station.
3. Ricky and Randy Olson of
the Olson Brothers garage.
4. Mrs. L.E. White.
In Fort Worth, we live in a
crowded subdivison and hardly
know any of our neighbors.
The experience that we had
at Electra was a refreshing
contrast!
