equipment. Model numbers for
the old Intertype and Linotype,
vintage typesetting machines,
ware related as he experienced

ON THE BALLOT
Senate Joint Resolution 4 proposes an
amendment to article VII, section 5(b), of
the constitution, which currently autho-
rizes the legislature to provide for using
the permanent school fund to guarantee
bonds issued by school districts and cer
tain education-related revenue bonds
issued by the state The amendment
would repeal the provision authorizing
the title of the book writ-
ten by Schultz. He says it
contains 377,073 characters;
69,241 words; 6,624 lines, and
769 paragraphs. We look for-

Funeral services for Neva
Martin, 81, were held at 10 a.m.
March 9 from the Clements-
Wilcox chapel in Marble Falls.
Burial was in Marble Falls City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin died March 6
in Stanton, Texas. She was
bom Oct. 7, 1911, in Llano
County, daughter of Lou Ella
and Joseph H. Shirley.
Survivors include two sons,
William R. Martin of Midland,
and Randel L. Martin of Ment-
more, N.M.; a sister, Loneta
Jordon of Dimmit; five grand-
children and 11 great grandchil-
dren. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Oscar, in Jan-
uary, 1988.
