lands of Texas. STATE EXPERIMENTAL FARM STATION AT SPT'R-
Recognizing the great possibilities and wonderful future of Spur Farm
Lands. the State has decided to place an Experimental Farm Station at
Spur. This will be a great benefit to the settlers in that region-showing
them by actual demonstrations on the lands what crops can be most
profitably raised; best niethods of cultivation, and assisting in all the prob-
lems of the farm. This decision was reached after a visit to the lands
by Judge Ed R. Kone. Commissioner of Agriculture, and Dr. H H Har-
rington. Director of Experimental Stations. who reccgnized their unusual
farming value. Wichita Valley Railroad (Burlington System) gives Pais-
senger service from Stamford. Jones County, to terminal town. Spur. Dick-
ens County. Texas. This new railroad penetrates the heart of
SPUR FARM LANDS
To the first comers (ready to develop). we are willing to sell one-half
our holdings of 873 sq are miles on easy terms and reasonable prices We
reserve the other half for the big increase sure to come with development.
We stand shoulder to shoulder with the homeseeker
Cotton (no boll weevil), corn. alfalfa. all feed stuffs, grains. fruits,
