We hear almost daily from our delivery service,
of persons who have the same articles sent from nearly
every store, and it is not uncommon to learn of more than
dozen pairs of shoes or corsets having been sent to the
address, and when all store keepers know that
the best dressers are the quickest' to decide anti buy. we
know this excessive trying of goods is more of a habit than
a necessity
We wish to state to the public that the object of the
Retail Merchants Association is to agree on hours for
opening and closing our stores, credits, return goods evil,
keeping tab on shoplifters, collecting past due accounts
and any helpful methods oi merchandising, but making or
agreeing on prices has never been as much as discussed at
any of our meetings.

The Dry Goods and Shoe Merchants of Denton, in
makng rides as given below, feel that in so doing, the cus-
tomer'will share equally with the merchant in the saving
and better service, that such methods will enable us to
offer. We feel safe in saying that in no other town the
size of our own, do the merchants oi fer then trade a higher
class of merchandise, or at less price than can be had in
Denton and when compared with the larger places,
prices are often less.
The return goods evil, that we are trying to force
to a minimum, is costing the retailer, or possibly you,
great deal oi money, the most of which is unnecessary-
Now that some of our goods are taxable, to the purchaser,
and a record oi each charge will have to be kept, any item
boifght and returned will cost us double the expense of an
item bought and kept and the merchant iails to get bis
profit.

There are more than 3,000,000
Ford cars in daily operation in the
United States. This is a little bet-

cars used in America. The Ford
car is every man’s necessity. No
matter what his business may be,
it solves the problem of cheapest
transportation. We solicit your
order now, because production is
limited, and we must make it the
rule to supply first orders first.
