longtime head coach Jack Armstrong re-
signed. The Lady Indians finished third in
District 9-4A play this past season, behind
state champion Argyle and regional final-
ist Celina. Turner was able to beat Krum
twice in district play. Sanger upset no. 8
ranked Lincoln in the second round of the
playoffs, but was blown out by Celina for
the third time in the season, in the regional
quarterfinals.
“My plans are to either coach at the
6A level or go into administration,” said
Turner. “My preference will be to do this
in west Texas. Sanger was great and there
is nothing like winning in the playoffs. The
win over Lincoln should help the program
spring forward next season and give Ar-
gyle and Celina a run for it.”
SISD hopes to have a new coach hired
soon. Deputy Superintendent Eric Beam
