AUSTIN —Three major threats
to traffic safety st this time of
year were described today by J
O Muaick. General Manager of
the Texas Safety Association
"One threat ia reduced visi-

that our daylight hours this

dark clothing worn by many
pedestrians, and you can see that
a driver really can't afford to
relax vigilance one moment ”
The safety official said another
threat is posed by inadequate
traction
"The fellow on foot is far more
likely to slip and fall these days
1 than in summer, and the fellow
behind the wheel must be con
stantly alert against skidding
hazards." Musick observed
