aren't worth cooking. Well, take
heart, and surprise that hunter with
this easy, good tasting recipe.
Wild Duck in Wine
2(1 17i pounds each) ready-to-
cook wild ducks, quartered
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup beef broth
'/i cup sliced mushrooms, fresh
preferred
!4 cup Burgundy
2 tablespoons chopped onion
*/i teaspoon salt
1 bay leaf
Dash pepper ,
Parsley, chopped
In a large saucepan, simmer
ducks in small amount of salted
water 20-30 minutes; drain. In
large skillet, brown ducks in but-
ter; transfer to a 12x8 baking dish.
Blend flour into pan drippings.

also give them aide in counseling,
adoption services, and present them
with the Gospel.
There is a very great need for a
ministry such as this. We will be very
blessed from her presentation. Please

only permits treatment before the problem becomes serious, but the
cure rate is over 90 percent. Mammography cannot only save your
lie, but help you avoid the need for disfiguring surgery, too.

thi^s screening, but you do need to make an appointment at a time

A female technologist who is highly trained in mammography
will perform the examination. These images are then interpreted by
a Board Certified Radiologist, and a report is sent to your own
doctor. It takes only a few minutes, and can detect incipient breast
cancer as small as the period at the end of this sentence.

The next issue of his paper ear-
ned a big notice to the boys of Jack
County urging them to enter a com
growing contest. He offered three
prizes for each of the five categories
of corn (white, yellow, laguna,
bloody butcher and flower com).
Tom would furnish the seed.
He went to farmers and encour-
aged them to let their sons enter the
contest. He told the fanners they
should let the youngsters own the
com and sell it as further induce-
ment.
Mr. Marks went to the schools of
the county, circling in his car to at-
tract attention.. Since there weren't
many cars at the time, the young

Note: Remember, you can buy
cooking Burgundy at the grocery
store. The "cooking" wines have salt
added, so you may want to decrease
the amount of salt called for.
Mike Hare used the following
recipe from Recipes from the Best
Little Cookhouse in Texas and sub-
stituted pheasant breasts for chicken.
He says it was delicious.
Chicken Breasts in Sour Cream
4 chicken breastsr(or any of those ,'
wild, flying things in your freezer)
1 small can mushrooms, sliced
and drained
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
7i soup can of Sherry
1 cup sour cream
Paprika
Arrange chicken in shallow bak-
ing dish. Stir together soup, mush-
rooms, wine and sour cream and
pour over chicken. Sprinkle with
paprika and bake at 350 degrees for
17i hours. Serve with Uncle Ben's
Wild and Long Grain Rice with
Herbs.
Note: Cooking Sherry can be pur-
chased like the Burgundy.
