would be helpful and we would offer a big "Thanks" to anyone that sup-
plied photos or information on local functions.

Once I read a recipe for a "Happy
New Year " It goes like this - hope
you enjoy it.
Take twelve fine full-grown
months; see that these are thor-
oughly free from all old memories of
bitterness, rancor, hate and jealously
Cleanse them completely from ev-
ery clinging spite; pick of all specks
of pettiness. Cut these months into
thirty to thirty-one equal parts. Do
not attempt to make up the whole
batch at one time but prepare one day
at a time, as follows.
Into each day put equal parts of
faith, kindness, rest, prayer and medi-
tation. Add about a teaspoonfill of
good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of
Tuesday night at Happy Hearts
was a great time!
Those present were Lona
Lightfoot, Bobbie Dennington, Jack
Stewart, Harold Page, Beverly
Logan, Louie and Mollie Jones,
Charles and Lousie Nabors, Grace
Ferrell, Rosa Smith, Alene Box,
Vera Mull, Steve and Laura Single-
ton, Bea, and Dorothy, Gearldean
Singleton and Lyndell Coan.
Specials sung by Beverly Logan
and Mollie Jones were enjoyed by all.
Charles told a story about two
children and a snake. It's a story that
was published earlier in a newspa-
per. The way I feel about snakes I
wouldn't say Charles was a chicken!
Jack did all he could to see that
Bobbie and Lona behaved them-
selves. Seriously, these two girls
keep us all in stitches. It you are
not there, you are missing some great
fellowship with some wonderful
people.
Wednesday Ladies Prayer Group
at Lona Lightfoots was small.
Those attending were Mollie Jones,
Lona, Daisy Slaton, and Laura.
There were twenty-nine names
on the prayer list.
Sunday morning worship service
was very well attended.
Leland Rainey came forward to
accept the Lord as his Savior and
to join the church.
Sunday afternoon there were two
baptized; Gloria Murphy and Eliza-
beth Nabors.
We sincerely appreciate St. Joe
for the use of their church for this
service. A special "Thank You" to
Bro. Jackie Auvenshine and his
congregation for their kindness to
us.
In him.
