Blinn anniversary to have speakers, tours, lunch
The push for a Blinn campus
in Schulenburg, led by County
Judge Janecka, began in August of
1996 with a public meeting. Blinn
officials proposed to renovate the
formerBishop Forest High School
buildings.
A half-cent sales tax within the
City of Schulenburg was approved
on Jan. 18, 1997 to help fund the
project.
A grand opening was held on
Aug. 6, 1997 and classes started
on Sept. 1, 1997.
