COMPETITION
Dirk Lindsey, a senior Tarleton
State University, has qualified for
the national finance competition
sponsored by the Phi Beta Lambda
National Business Fraternity.
Lindsey, a General Business major
from lie Leon, placed second in the
State PBL conference meet held last
weekend in Lubbock to earn his bed
at nationals.

met April 11, in the hospitality room
of the Freedom Bank.
Mrs. Barbara Nowlin, president,
opened the meeting. She introduced
four participants of U.I.L. Jennifer
Brown, third grade, who won first
place in storytelling, presented “The
Little Lost Bed.” Amber Vaughn,
third grade, who won fourth place in delegate to The Texas Federation of
storytelling, presented “The Doll
Parade.” Natalie Files, first place
in Prose Interpretation, presented
“Jane” and Shell! diammit, fourth Members answering roll call
