GREEN TOMATO MINCE-
MEAT PIE
1-1/2 pints apples
1 pint ground green tomatoes
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cloves
3 cups sugar
1 lb. raisms
1 cup suet
1/4 cup vinegar
Mix together the ground ap- minutes more until thickened
1-1/2 cups apple cider vinegar pies, green tomatoes, cinnamon. Pour into hot clean, sterilized
6 cups sugar salt, allspice, cloves,
1 bottle Certo liquid or
Sure Gel
8 drops green food coloring
Blend green peppers and 1/2
cup vinegar in blender
Add sugar and remainder of
vinegar.
Place in sauce pan. Bring to a
boil
When you are unable to stir
down the boil, remove from heat
and let stand until it cools down
Skim with wooden spoon Add
Certo or Sure Qcl and food col-
oring.
Stir until liquid starts to thick-
en
Pour into clean, sterilized pmt
jars and seal.
Bring to a boil
cinnamon,
raisins, glasses and seal immediately.
Yield = 4 to 4-1/2 pints
