ed this weekend In Fayette
County, thanks to the First Aid
knowhow of a little boy’s grand-
father.

las Keilers Is recovering in Fay-
ette Memorial Hospital following
the incident in the Colorado river
east of La Grange late Saturday
afternoon at the F. W. Hunger

were made for four area tour-
naments in which 16 teams will
competel.

The Fayette County Com-
missioner’s Court accepted bids
on parches of paving and topping
at their recent meeting.
The bid of the Clarence Dean
Paving Company of Giddings was
accepted to do rhe work in Pre-
cinct 2 and the bid of Schwabe
and Mikus was accepted jq do
the work in Precincts 1 and 4.

This team also won high team
average, high 3-game series, and
high single game. Mrs. Weber
first game being on Friday night.
The group also voted to get
bumper stickers advertising,
’’Keep America Beautiful--Don’t
Be A Littlerbug.” Wilbert Jaster
voiced that he would be able to
get these for the Jaycees and
would share the cost with them.
The Jaycees are also still
looking into the cost of bum-
per stickers which will ad-
vertise, ”La Grange Wants New
Industry.”
Charlie Jungrnlchel of the Se-
nior Chamber was in attendance
and reported that they had fav-
orable reports on industry pos-
sibilities for Fayette County.
Jack Cernosek’s name was
drawn for the attendance nrize.
He was not present to claim it.
The next Jaycee meeting will
be held at Jaster’s Camp on the
river on August 3.
REV. T. H. GRAALMANN,
pastor of Mt. Calvary Lutheran
Church, is shown breaking
ground while members of the
plans and construction com-
mittee look on. The ground
breaking took place on Sunday,
July 5 in special ceremonies
at 9;15 a.m. at which 370 per-
sons were in attendance.

The District 10 Babe Ruth
Tournament will be held for the
first time in La Grange this year.
Play in rhe tourney, for which
all details are not yet certain, is
tentatively set for July 28. Should
this be a double elimination con-
test, and it will probably be
games will be played nightly.
Teams entering this tourney
will be the Roci’dale Division
Lavaca County Division, Col-
orado County Division and the
Fayette County Division.
