SCIATICA
(PAIN IN THE HIP AND LEG)
There is pain and there is pain! Sciatica just
seems to hurt more. The sciatic nerve origi-
nates in the lower spine, spreads across the
hip, buttocks and down the leg. Many times
the pain is localized in the hip. It is a pain that
makes movement difficult and painful. Usually
patients find sitting very uncomfortable.
We can help ourselves with this type of prob-
lem. Learn to lift properly. Keep abdominal
muscles tight and trim, avoid recliner chairs
and soft sofas. This is perhaps the most fre-
quent condition that is treated in our office.
Should you have symptoms of sciatica or hip
and leg pain, I would certainly recommend a
Chiropractic evaluation.
