Buddy and Mattie Grace Carter celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary with a ceremony and
reception hosted by their children at Ramah
Baptist Church in Tenaha where they were mar-
ried on July 29, 1960. Rev. Keith Keele officiated
the ceremony with the renewal of their wedding
vows and exchange of watches as their golden
gifts. Among the host of family and friends, seven
guests in attendance were’also recognized that
witnessed their wedding 50 years ago, as well as,
Buddy's 96 year old aunt, Winnie Haney, of
Longview. They have three children and two son-
in-laws, Sue Ann and Ric Roberson, of Coppell*,
Don Carter, <of Paxton, Patty Kay and Todd
Robinson, of Lufkin; and five grandchildren,
Ashley Carter, 23, of Lafeyette, Amanda
Roberson, 22, of Tyler, Lauren Carter, 21, of South
Texas, Caroline Roberson, 15, of Coppell and Ijtyan
Robinson, 9, of Lufkin.

end of your way, what will

Pennsylvania and Brian Alan Hebert of Lafayette,
Louisiana will be united in marriage, on
September 3, 2010, at a beach side ceremony, in
Cape Charles, Virginia. The bride elect is the
daughter of Tammy Grinnell and the late Jerome
Thomas Wimbrough, of Wellsboro,“Pennsylvania.
She obtained her Bachelors in Criminal Justice
from Edinboro University and Her Masters in
Strategic Intelligence Studies, in Washington, DC.
The prospective groom is the son of Alan and
Donna Hebert, of Lafayette. He is the grandson of
Helen and James Wedgeworth, of Carthage. He is
currenly employed by the US Coast Guard and is
stationed in Cape Charles, Virginia. He has been
awarded multiple medals, among them, the Coast
Guard Meritorious Team Commendation, for his
life saving service. After the wedding the couple
will reside in Norfolk, Virginia. ‘
