SEEKS FFA TITLE
Skip Barnett of Krum will
compete with nine others for
the tide of “Star” Farmer of
the State at the State Future
Farmers of America conven-
tion in Austin this week.
Barnett, 18, was named the
■ Star” Farmer of the 20-county
Area V of the FFA. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bar-
nett of Krum.
Winner of the State ‘‘Star’
Farmer Award will be announ-
ced Thursday. His FFA pro-
jects include beef cattle, crops
and laying hens.
. Barnett won the title
“Star”’ Farmer in his chapter
and in the district. He plans
to attend North Texas state
University and will study
government. '
His advisor and vocational
agriculture teacher is Mr. Ben
Bullard. ::
