Billy Wayne Dimitt, son of
Nfr. and Mrs. Otto Dimitt of
Slidell, was an honor graduate
who received his BBA Degree
at the summer commence-
ment at N.T.S.U. Thursday
night. Dimitt is now employed
with the Southwestern Life
Insurance Company in Dallas.
Mr. L. L. McNeil remains in
serious condition in Flow Hos-
pital as a result of bums he
received two weeks ago. The
elderly Mr. McNeil was se-
verely burned when he fell and
was unable to turn off the flow
of hot water in the bath tub.

Mrs. Joe Boydstun of Lubbock
visited in the B. Boydstun and
T. D. Wylie homes last week.
Mis. Wylie accompanied Mrs.
Boydstun on the return trip
home and will visit with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. S.
Allcorn, for a few days.
Debbie and Peggy Solomon
have returned to Dallas after
visiting their grandparents M r.
and Mrs. B. W. Solomon.
Rev. T. M. Cunningham,
pastor of the local Presbyterian
Church is attending the meet-
ing of Texas Synod at Trinity
University in San Antonio this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Pickett
have returned from a two weeks
visit with relatives in Austin.

The Bernice Neel Circle of
the First Baptist Church met
Tuesday morning at 9 a. m. at
the home of Mrs. V. B. Atch-
ison. The meeting opened with
prayer by Mrs. Jack Hall.
The chairman, Mrs. Junior
Davis, presided for the busi-
ness meeting. The following
officers for the new year were
elected: chairman, Mis. Doris
Davis;vice chairman and Bible
study chairman, Mrs. V. B.
Atchison, recording aecretary
and treasurer, Mrs. Nelva
Higgi.
Mrs. Jack Armstrong, com-
minity missions chairman,
asked that each member bring
gifts of personal items for the
gift box for the Manor Home.
The box will be prepared at
the next meeting.
The devotional and Bible
study topic for the day was
entitled ’Faith'1 and was
brought by Mrs. Atchison.
Mrs. Hall announced that
Week of Prayer for Home Mis-
sionswould be observed Sept.
9th through the 13th at 8:45
each morning except Wed.
The closing prayer was led
by Mrs. Tom Muir.
The next meeting will be
Sept. 24th at Mrs. Ronnie Mal-
low's at 9:00 a.m.

Sanger. Vows are to be re-
peated in the Krum Church of
Christ on Friday, August 30th,
at 8 p.m. A reception will
follow in the home of the
bride's parents.

Back home from a week's
vacation are, Mr. and Mrs.
R. L. Odom. They visited Mrs.
Odom's aunt, Mrs. W. D.
Rasure and Mr. Rasure at Earl-
sboro, Okla. From there they
went to Holdenville, Okla, to
visit Mrs. Odom's birth place
and relatives. Following the
visit in Oklahoma they made
a short trip into parts of Ark.
spent one night on Mt. Ida and
later enjoyed a tour of Hot
Spring and visited other places
of interest.

Adult Education
Program Planned
On September 5, at 8:00
P. M. the first of the 1963-64
school year adult education
programs is planned. It will
be held at the Slidell High
School, in the Vocational
Agriculture building.
The speaker for the program
will be Dr. Arron Baxter of
DaUM who M tte Agronomies
for the Texas Power and Light
. Company. His program will
concern the use of fertilizer
on small grain, row crop, and
pastures. He is well informed,
and he can answer the farmers
questions concerning the ap-
plication of fertilizers to Wise
and Denton County soils.
