"I don’t want to have to
read the legislative bills. Just
give me a little note on what each
bill says,” Cole requested.
Vic Burgess, who placed
the pornography discussion on
the agenda, urged action because
this item has a high degree of
public interest.
Morris told the court that

The North Texas Savings
and Loan Association says eleven other bridges were

ditions of roads leading to the
bridges...but that’s another
problem that must lie solved
later.
Oops! We forgot to include
Cottonwood Branch in our last
year’s Inspection list so it will
have to be repaired or
closed...said the State Highway
Department.
The problem is that the
county didn’t include
this bridge in its budget and will
lie hard pressed to come up with
the needed $70,000. Now the
State has found the bridge and
says it must lx- closed or re
placed.

spokespersons state the
institution is excited about

associations. NTSLA is
based in Denton, but has
branches which serve
residents in Pilot Point,

for Davis
Funeral services for Dale
B. Davis were held Monday
at 1:30 p.m., in the Lloyd
James Funeral Home
Chapel in Tyler. Leon Odom
and Dan Shlppley officiated
at the services. Davis was
burled in Cathedral in the
Pines Cemetery, also in
Tyler.
Mr. Davis died Sunday,
July 16, at his home after
an extended illness. Mr.
Davis was 78 years old,
bom June 23. 1911 in Saint
Louis, Missouri.
Davis is a retired school
administrator, retired from
the Carrollton-Farmers
Branch Independent School
District. Davis served with
Sanger ISD as Principal of
Sanger High School from
1941 to 1944 He has lived
in the Tyler area for 1 1
years, and was a member of
the Rice Road Church of
Christ.
Mr. Davis is survived by
his wife, Claudine Davis of
Tyler; one son. Richard
Davis of Garland; one
daughter and son-in-law.
Mary Ann and Larry Clough
of Tyler; one sister. Louetta
Ames of Fort Worth; six
children and four
great -grandch lldren.
